Fiction- Prose:
Prose consists of short story submissions of no less than 750 words and no more than 2500 words.

Flash Fiction:
Flash fiction consists of fictional stories that are more than 200 words and less than 500 words. Thus creating “flash fiction”.

Non-fiction essay:
We are interested in personal narrative essays around 1000 words and other short non-fiction essays of any subject less than 750 words. Regardless of the subject matter, preference will be given to compelling, well-written stories.

Artwork:
We appreciated all forms of artwork. If your artwork is larger than 8 X 12, then please take a photograph of it and submit it instead. We greatly prefer your artwork to be in a form of a digital format whether it would be a photograph or scanned. If you are unable to do that, we would gladly do it for you. Please leave your artwork at the Chandler Downtown Public Library at the Youth Desk. If you would like your artwork to be returned to you, please leave a note with it.
